We hope you enjoy watching our writing. We are using our phonics to 'sound chop' our words and trying to remember to use a capital letter for the first word, fingers spaces between words and a full stop at the end of our sentence.

Today we did some more mixing, we mixed chocolate powder with milk and whisked it until had dissolved. Then we had a competition to see who drank the most before Mrs Borthwick said stop. We then talked about who had drunk the most or the least. Surprisingly we all finished it by the end if the game!
We have been predicting how many cups our jug of sand will hold. How many do you think?
We found a digit card to record our predictions and then after we had counted we found the digit card to show how many it filled. Do you think we are good at predicting?

Honey brought a strange stone into school that she had found on holiday, she said it was a piece of volcanic rock so we all decided we wanted to find out more!
We carried out an experiment to see if we could make our own 'volcano' erupt. We put bicarbonate of soda in the bottom of our volcano and poured vinegar onto it. Look what happened!
After we mixed these ingredients together we decided to try mixing some others from the classroom, we mixed sand and then salt with the vinegar. Can you guess what happened?
Could you, with your parents help, find some other things to mix together?
Would they erupt like our experiment?
