PE

We had a surprise PE lesson today with Adam.  We moved around the hall in different ways, played some games and had to stop a ball with different parts of our bodies.  We were ready for a drink of water when we had finished!
What did you enjoy doing the most?

Slippery Snake

Today we learnt the letter 's.'  We have listened to lots of stories about spiders and realised the word starts with the 's' sound, also Sophie, Sarah and Summer!  We then looked in a phonics book and found a snake, which reminded Mrs Borthwick of a song she knows.  We made snake shapes with our arms while we sang it.
"Slippery snake sss,
Slippery snake sss,
Slippery snake sss, skip to my Lou my darling!"
Can you think of any more things that start with a s sound?

Phew!

What a busy week we have had in Kandinsky Class this week!
What did you enjoy this week?

Number Sentences

We have been practicing subtraction using frogs to help us.  First we sang '5 speckled frogs' and noticed that each time a frog jumped into the pool, there was one less on the log.  We then used the frogs to make our own sums, deciding how many frogs we were going to take away.
Can you make some number sentences using some toys from home?

Our Class Assembly

We really enjoyed practicing and performing our class assembly!  Our teachers are very proud because we all joined in and said our learning promise.
